1. Graduate Slide Photo Requirements
Your photo appears on your graduate slide as your name is called.
Photo Must Be:
- Headshot: Graduate only — no other people or animals
- Attire: Business professional or regalia (no hats or sunglasses; graduation caps allowed)
- Uniformed personnel: Follow local agency/unit guidelines for attire & insignia
- Background: Light-colored and uncluttered (not in a car)
- Original photo only (no screenshots)
- Appropriate for an academic audience
Not Permitted:
- Logos, trademarks, or brand names
- Filters, text, or added graphics
- Photos including animals or anyone other than the graduate
- Important: Non-compliant photos will be cropped or removed
Format:
- High-resolution JPEG (Max. 7 MB. Minimum size 499 x 627 px)
- Portrait (vertical) orientation
2. Tips for a Good Headshot:
- Face a window – Natural light = best light
- Frame your shot – Head and shoulders in view
- Hold camera at eye level – Straight on, not from above/below
3. Headshot Cropping Tips:
- Upload your full-size photo — do not crop before uploading
- After upload, use the site tools to adjust the frame to show head and shoulders
- Can you create a sample like below using 1 or 2 sets of these crop samples? (if doing two, do one regalia, one not regalia)

4.Edit Your Graduate Slide:
- Edits allowed until the registration deadline date
- Go to purdueglobal.gradpak.com
- Enter your Student ID and Student Email Address
- When prompted that you’ve already registered for commencement, edit your slide using the “Click Here” link
- Update your photo and slide details
- Click "Preview Slide" to save your changes
